WHY CHOOSE BUILDING FUTURES PEDIATRIC THERAPY?

At Building Futures, we are committed to creating an environment where your child feels comfortable, happy, and optimistic about the future. We pride ourselves on maintaining a family-friendly, casual, and 100% welcoming atmosphere.

We understand that therapy is a journey for both the child and the family, and we are here to provide the support and guidance you need. Our approach is not just about therapy; it’s about building a community where families feel supported and empowered.

ABOUT OUR RUSTON LOCATION

There’s a large outdoor playground with a wood fort; a swing set and slide; a basketball court; and room for running, jumping, and increasing agility. When our owners, Jennifer and Wendy, designed this office, they took this opportunity to create a space where your child can make the fastest progress possible. They designed a bright and cheery learning space around an open-room concept. In this lovely space, every child can feel comfortable as they learn to climb, swing, feed themselves and gain other important skills.

The open room also enables our therapists to observe children in all stages of therapy. As a result, therapists coordinate on the children’s therapy programs. For example, an occupational therapist may notice that a child in physical therapy can benefit from help developing fine motor skills, self-regulation or hand-eye coordination. In that way, our children have their best chance at well-rounded development.

Rooms with themes taken from their favorite books—such as Dr. Suess, Peppa Pig, and Eric Carle—keep our children engaged and interested in both gaining new skills and learning to read. Check out our clinic below!

How do I know if my child needs therapy?

If you’re worried about your child’s development, or if they seem to be behind their peers in achieving their milestones, our free online developmental screening tool can help you determine if pediatric therapy can help.

During the initial session, our therapist will conduct a thorough evaluation to understand your child’s strengths and limitations. We will discuss your concerns and develop a personalized treatment plan to help your child achieve their developmental goals.

Typically, sessions are scheduled once per week, but this can be adjusted depending on your child’s specific goals and needs.

Yes, we accept most major insurance plans to ensure that as many children as possible can access care. If you’re unsure whether your insurance is covered or what your out-of-pocket costs may be, our administrative team can help you at your child’s evaluation.

Absolutely! We encourage parental involvement during your child’s therapy. Your participation can provide valuable support and help reinforce therapy activities at home.

This will depend on your child’s specific needs and goals. Some children may only need therapy for a few months, while others may benefit from longer-term treatment. Our therapists will keep you updated about your child’s progress every step of the way.
